01Method

  1. 1

Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 12-cup muffin tin or fit the cups with paper liners.

  2. 2

Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl and stir to distribute evenly.

  3. 3

In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined. Gently fold in the blackberries.

  4. 4

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds of the way.

  5. 5

Bake until the tops bounce back when gently pressed, 18 to 20 minutes. Allow the muffins to rest in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to finish cooling.
