01Method

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and assemble all ingredients.

  2. 2

Slice each roll into 8 equal cubes.

  3. 3

Arrange the bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 10 minutes.

  4. 4

Transfer the toasted cubes into a 1½-quart baking dish. Scatter half the Swiss cheese, half the Cheddar, half the bacon, and half the green onions over the bread, then gently shake the pan so the toppings settle down between the cubes.

  5. 5

In a bowl, whisk the eggs together with the half-and-half, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour the custard over the bread, pressing the cubes down so they absorb the liquid.

  6. 6

Top with the remaining Swiss cheese, Cheddar cheese, bacon, green onions, and the Parmesan cheese.

  7. 7

Bake in the oven until the center of the strata is heated through, approximately 30 minutes.
