01Method

  1. 1

Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, then cook the lasagna noodles until tender, about 8 minutes. Drain and rinse, then set aside.

  2. 2

Combine the cheddar cheese, ricotta, egg, white sugar, and almond extract in a bowl. Spread one can of apple pie filling evenly across the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange half the noodles on top, then spread the cheese mixture over them. Lay the remaining noodles on top and cover with the second can of apple pie filling.

  3. 3

In a separate small bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Work in the margarine until the mixture becomes crumbly, then scatter it evenly over the apple filling layer.

  4. 4

Bake for 45 minutes, then remove from the oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes. While cooling, mix the sour cream with the packed brown sugar. Slice into squares and finish each portion with a dollop of the sour cream mixture.
