01Method
- 1
Pour the measured water and brown rice into a 4-quart pressure cooker. Seal the lid and position the pressure regulator per the manufacturer's directions. Bring to pressure until a steady stream of steam whistles through, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook until the rice is tender, about 22 minutes. Allow pressure to drop naturally, 5 to 10 minutes, then carefully open the lid.
- 2
Meanwhile, set a 6-quart Instant Pot® to the Sauté function and pour in the oil. Once hot, add the steak strips and onion, cooking until browned, 3 to 5 minutes.
- 3
In a small bowl, whisk together the water, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger, then pour the mixture over the browned meat. Lock the lid in place, cancel the Sauté function, and set to high pressure for 11 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.
- 4
Use the quick-release method to carefully vent pressure, about 5 minutes, then remove the lid.
- 5
Stir the honey into the pot. Mix the cornstarch with the remaining water in a small bowl until smooth, then stir into the pot. Add the broccoli florets.
- 6
Switch back to Sauté and cook, stirring continuously, until the sauce thickens and the broccoli is tender, 3 to 5 minutes. Plate over rice and top with sliced green onions.
